It features a carbon-fiber pedal box, Sparco racing seats that are lightweight and a stalkless steering wheel. As well as the accelerator and brake pedals, the steering column can be adjusted. Ford's GT is priced at $450,000. Premium editions may cost more, up to $650,000.

Ford GT Used Cars: The Collection Value

The Ford GT, a high-performance sports vehicle, is the best. The Ford GT is limited in production, but it is still worth a lot today. The Ford GT was first introduced in 2005. At $150,000, the new car sold. But collectors are finding that this model has a high resale market value. How To

How to become an automotive technician

A technician who works on vehicles is an automotive technician. He/she is employed at automobile dealerships, garages, service centres, and auto shops. Customers can rely on him/her to fix their cars, trucks and motorcycles. An automotive technician must be capable of diagnosing problems and making repairs safely, accurately and efficiently.

An associate degree from a vocational school is required for anyone who wishes to become an automotive technician. After completing the program, he/she must take the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence certification exam. ASE stands to American Society of Mechanical Engineers. There are two parts to the ASE certification exam. The first section tests for mechanical knowledge, the second for practical skills. To pass the test, you will need to visit an authorized testing location. These locations can be found online or at your local auto dealer.

After passing the exam, a candidate must take a state exam before being licensed as an automobile technician. It varies depending on the location of the applicant. Some states require that candidates attend training courses, while others permit them to learn independently. Some states allow technicians to become licensed right away after receiving their license. While others wait until they have had at least six years of experience as an automotive technician.

A person must apply to an auto dealership in order to get started as an automobile technician. New employees are usually apprentices when they first get hired. Apprenticeship programs usually last three years. This is when a student can learn how to do basic repairs such as changing oil, adjusting brakes and replacing tires. Some students learn how to do advanced repairs, such as installing air filters, replacing shocks, repairing engines, and replacing transmission fluids. Most schools offer classes during regular business hours. However, there are some schools that offer evening classes for those who need them.

Once a student finishes his/her apprenticeship, it is possible to become a Journeyman. Journeymen can spend up to five years learning how major systems work, including transmissions, differentials. They also learn how to adjust steering gear and suspensions. They learn how to do complex repairs such as remanufacturing engines, rebuilding transmissives, and troubleshooting electronic components. Employers prefer to hire journeymen as they are familiar with the job and can anticipate customer needs.

Once a candidate passes the required exams and is granted a license, they might consider opening their own shop. According to Bureau of Labor Statistics (2010), almost 1.7million automotive mechanic jobs were on the market. That number was expected to grow by 18 percent from 2009 to 2020. When a candidate plans to open his/her own shop he/she should be ready to invest thousands of dollars in equipment.

Many factors affect the automotive technician's salary, including location, education, experience, and employer type. A jobless person can expect to make $20,000 per year. Someone with only a high school diploma could earn around $21,000 per year. Earnings for those with an associate's diploma are approximately $24,000/year. Technicians with a bachelor’s degree made about $27,000 annually. Master's degree holders make around $32,000 annually. Salary increases are common, so a professional who earns less than $30,000 now could reasonably expect to earn $40,000 or more in just a few years.
